FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
Short answers about how meebd works today. If yours is not here, write to us.
Getting started
Do I need technical skills to use meebd?
No. Everything is done with forms and buttons in the dashboard. There is no code to write, no plugin to install and no server to set up.
How long does it take to open a store?
Creating an account and a store takes a few minutes. After that it depends on how many products you add and how you want to take payment.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free plan needs no card and has no time limit. Paid plans are billed by invoice, so no card is stored either.
Can I run more than one store?
Yes. One account can open several stores. Each store has its own address, database, products, orders and customers.
In which languages is meebd available?
This website is available in Bangla and English. The seller dashboard is in English today. Your storefront shows the product names and descriptions you write, in any language you like.
Where can I get help?
Use the contact page to write to us. Once you have a store, you can also open a support ticket from your dashboard and follow the replies there.
Running a store
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, on plans that include custom domains. You add your domain, publish a DNS record to prove you own it, and meebd verifies it. Every store also keeps its free address on our domain.
How many products can I sell?
It depends on the plan. Every plan has a product limit or says it is unlimited, and you can see it for each plan on the pricing page.
Can several people work on my store?
Yes. Invite team members and give each person only the permissions they need, such as orders only or products only. Two-factor sign-in is available for team accounts. The number of seats depends on your plan.
Can I import my products?
Yes, from a CSV file. You see a preview with any row errors before anything is saved. Photos are uploaded in the product editor: meebd does not fetch images from other websites.
Can I print invoices and packing slips?
Yes. Every order has a printable invoice and packing slip that you can print or save as a PDF from your browser.
Can I record orders that come by phone or Facebook?
Yes. You can create an order by hand in the dashboard. It reserves stock and follows the same flow as an order placed in the store.
Payments and delivery
How do I get paid?
meebd does not hold your money. Customers pay you directly: cash on delivery, bank transfer, a bKash or Nagad payment that you confirm, or online through your own SSLCommerz account.
Does meebd connect directly to bKash and Nagad?
Not through their merchant APIs yet. The customer sends money to your number and enters the transaction reference at checkout, and you confirm it in the dashboard. Cards, bKash, Nagad and Rocket can also be paid online through SSLCommerz.
Can I refund a customer from meebd?
meebd records refunds. You pay the customer back yourself (cash, bank, mobile wallet or your SSLCommerz panel) and record it so orders and stock stay correct. meebd does not move the money for you.
Which couriers does meebd support?
You record the courier and the tracking number on each shipment, with presets for common couriers in Bangladesh, and the customer receives the tracking details by email. meebd does not book parcels with couriers automatically.
Can I set delivery charges and VAT?
Yes. You can use a flat rate, rates per delivery zone, free shipping above an amount and local pickup. VAT can be switched on with your own rate, either included in prices or added at checkout.
Data and technology
Is my store data kept apart from other sellers?
Yes. Every store has its own database. Your products, orders and customers are never stored together with another seller's data.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. Products, orders, customers, subscribers and stock can be exported as CSV files from the dashboard.
Is there an API?
Yes, on plans that include API access: a REST API secured with tokens, and signed webhooks that send store events to your own systems.
Does meebd work well on a phone?
Yes. The storefront and the dashboard are designed for phones. The dashboard can be installed on your home screen like an app and can send push notifications for new orders where your phone supports them.
Plans and billing
What do the plans cost?
See the pricing page. Prices, limits and fees are read live from the current plans, so what you see there is what applies.
Do you take a share of my sales?
It depends on the plan. Each plan on the pricing page shows its transaction fee, or says that there is none.
How do I pay for a paid plan?
Paid plans are billed by invoice. You pay using the instructions shown next to the invoice and your plan is applied once the payment is confirmed. Cards are never charged automatically.
What happens if my paid plan expires?
Your store keeps running with the limits of the free plan until you renew. Your data stays where it is.
Can I stop paying?
Yes. Because paid plans are billed by invoice, you stop by not paying the next one. Your store then continues on the free plan.
